Another Day and a little bit of anxiety over the next book I want to read. While not complete, it reflect a number of books I’ve started but never finished, and books I’ve wanted to read but never started. I’m enjoying the Murderbot Diaries, but would also be happy to relax in Nathan Lowell’s Golden Age of the Solar Clipper again, but I’m happy to wait.

I really should add a column that asks why I want to read such and such book. What my motiviation is. Is it just because I’m a completionist, a dash of OCD? Dunno.

What to read next?

Had a lovely swim at the public pool in Medford. It’s a really nice pool and had a wonderful swim there. I would highly recommend to any lap swimmers out there. It’s the first time I’ve swam there in a year. I was surprised that the pool lanes were the same depth the whole way. I’m used to it being three feet at one end and maybe ten or twelve at the other end. This was just seven from one end to the other! Pretty cool.

Also after my swim tried In-N-Out, a Californian Staple. It was a lovely clean shop and simple. But I can’t say I loved it. Not sure what the fuss is about, but it’s better than most giant fast food giants so it wasn’t unpleasent. I just feel like I could’ve gotten a better burger down the road, I recall Jasper’s Cafe had a nice vibe.

Again after that to read in Lithia Park. Found a nice lawn in a busy area, felt like hearing the crowds and people a bit. A trumpeter began playing, not far from me on the lawn, playing against some reggae music. It was very enjoyable.

One thing I love about visiting my Mom is all the animals here. A cat sleeps at my feet and a cute boston terrier is always game to play. Another cat will climb up on me when I’m sitting outside. So far, it’s been a good vacation.
